This stunning penthouse is located on the seventh and eighth floors of a new building complex in Oud-Beijerland, Netherlands, offering a breathtaking view of the Rotterdam skyline. The project with 350 square meters of living space, including expansive living areas, a kitchen, two bedrooms, two dressing rooms, two bathrooms, an office, and a spacious attic floor.

The residence exudes a serene and luxurious atmosphere, where high-quality materials and a subdued color palette come together harmoniously. The lighting design, created by Lightinova, enhances this ambiance with perfectly coordinated lighting in warm tones. Exclusive elements such as alabaster stone, wall and pendant lamps, built-in and surface-mounted spotlights, and seamlessly integrated lighting tracks with flexible modules contribute to the refined appearance. Lightinova designs and manufactures its own lighting, allowing for effortless combination of design and technical collections. For example, all bronze tones in the collections are the same, ensuring a uniform and timeless aesthetic.

In this interior, the alabaster natural stone provides an exclusive appearance and has been largely used in this project as eye-catchers in key living spaces. Three alabaster natural stone HALO LED ring pendant lights are installed above the dining table at varying heights, creating an impressive play of light. The natural translucency of the alabaster allows for a diffuse distribution of light. Each piece of alabaster stone features a unique veining pattern, making no two pieces alike.

The integrated LED light source spans the entire length of the fixture, ensuring a homogeneous distribution of light. The stone’s matte surface creates a warm glow when illuminated. A timeless material shaped by time itself.

The HALO ring lights are combined in this space with the alabaster TUBE wall lamp from the same collection, resulting in a cohesive, warm ambiance.

Through a wide passageway, the living room is connected to a spacious open-plan kitchen. At the center of the kitchen, a long kitchen island with an integrated dining table runs the full length of the space. Above the dining area, five Alabaster natural stone TUBE SPOT LED pendant lights have been installed. Together with the natural stone countertop, the alabaster lamps add a luxurious touch.

The pendant lights provide both ambient and accent lighting. In addition to the diffuse light that shines through the alabaster stone, each fixture also features a built-in spotlight for directed illumination. This allows for functional lighting in the morning,perfect for reading the newspaper, while in the evening, the lights can be dimmed to create a cozy, atmospheric setting for drinks at the bar.

In addition to alabaster, the pendant lights are made of high-quality stainless steel in a brushed bronze finish. The bronze tone complements the rest of the warm interior palette perfectly. By harmonizing lighting and interior design, a cohesive and visually balanced whole is achieved.

The worktop of the kitchen island features an integrated extractor hood, eliminating the need for the traditional hood above the stove and the associated lighting. Since the TUBE pendant lights are the visual focal points above the dining area, task lighting for the cooking area is provided by SPOT40 semi-recessed LED spotlights mounted in the ceiling. Five spotlights are distributed across the kitchen’s work zone, including two directly above the cooktop. The spots are finished in brushed bronze, perfectly matching the Alabaster TUBE SPOT LED pendants.

The SPOT40 offers dimming capabilities, allowing light intensity to be adjusted to suit any mood. As a result, the spots function both as task lighting and ambient lighting. They are highly adjustable, with a 90° tilt and 360° rotation, making them exceptionally versatile. This fixture is available in both recessed and surface-mounted versions.

For general lighting, a CLIXX magnetic track system has been installed in the corner of the kitchen’s work area. The track system features a trimless recessed profile, seamlessly integrated into the ceiling, creating a minimalist contrast.

DOT12 modules, designed for general illumination, have been installed within the track. The CLIXX magnetic LED modules connect magnetically to the profiles, allowing them to be easily positioned and repositioned even while the power is on. Installing the LED modules is as simple as a single click.

On the opposite side of the room, several FLEXX recessed LED spotlights have been installed to complement the general lighting provided by the CLIXX system. These spots are dimmable, allowing the light intensity to be adjusted as needed. In addition to dimming, the spots are also tiltable, making it easy to highlight specific objects.

Due to the warm and luxurious appearance of the Alabaster collection, the Alabaster TUBE wall lamp has been installed throughout the home, including in the kitchen.

The bedroom is a place to relax and unwind. To avoid harsh lighting, FLEXX recessed LED spotlights were installed along the walls. By positioning the spots near walls or curtains, indirect lighting is created, producing a soft and calming effect in the room. The spots are dimmable, allowing the lighting to be tailored to specific needs and activities, such as watching TV or reading.

The use of natural alabaster stone has also been carried through into the bedroom. The Alabaster TUBE SPOT LED pendant light used in the kitchen reappears here, reinforcing the home’s cohesive design. Thanks to the minimalist design of the recessed FLEXX ceiling spots, the pendant lights serve as true eye-catchers in this space as well. Suspended on either side of the bed, the pendants provide both ambient and accent lighting, making them ideal for use as bedside lamps.

The FLEXX spotlight in the bedroom is made of strong, durable aluminum and has an IP44 rating. Thanks to this IP rating, the fixture is protected against splashing water, making it suitable for use as bathroom lighting near a bath or shower area.

The FLEXX spotlights are, just like in the kitchen, combined with two SPOT40 semi-recessed LED spots. These spots are positioned above the sinks in front of the mirrors and can be used as additional lighting when getting ready. All spotlights are dimmable, allowing a relaxed atmosphere to be created when bathing or showering.
